In this time, WWII lasted longer than in true history, in which Hitler and his armies were thought to be pacified after their major defeats after Stalingrad and there was relative peace between all nations...

The Soviet Union does not fall in 1991, the Cold War is nonexistant... at least for the moment...

So sit back comrades, while you arrive in the stronghold of WWII, Mother Russia, and the defenders of the only eastern defence against the Reich of Hitler.
But remember, in Siberia, the only allies you have are your frozen comrades around you and the warmth of your boots... it's not hard to see which has more appeal...
